Jubb is esssentially a synthesis of black comedy and psychological case study. The novel's narrator and anti-hero is 36 year-old Cyril Jubb, a daytime rent collector and nightime peeping tom. Without wishing to give to much away this book chronicles his decent into madness from a first person perspective. Though written in a humorous style typical of the author it is actually quite sophisticated analysis of a social and sexual deviancy.
